Gary Named Interim P&HCC Baseball Coach
MARTINSVILLE, VA - Mason Gary has been promoted from Assistant Coach to Interim Head Coach of the Patrick & Henry Community College (P&HCC) Patriots Baseball program for the 2025–2026 season. Gary, who has been an integral part of the coaching staff, will lead the program as it continues its tradition of success on and off the field.
"I'm really excited to get this year going. One of the things that I want to accomplish this year is getting our sophomores into four year programs and making sure that they become good servant leaders in the community. I'm looking forward to winning a bunch of games with the group of players that we have," said Gary.
Joining Gary on the staff will be Cole Tippens, who will serve as Assistant Coach for the coming season.
"We are excited to have Coach Gary step into this leadership role," said Brian Henderson, Assistant Vice President for Student Engagement and Athletic Director at Patrick & Henry. "He has been dedicated to the development of our student-athletes and understands the culture of P&H Baseball."
This transition comes as Head Coach Brandon Nania departs Patrick & Henry to join Radford University's baseball staff. Nania, a former Patriot himself, returned to P&H as an assistant coach for the 2021 Region 10 Championship team before serving as head coach for the past four seasons.
