MARTINSVILLE, VA — Patrick & Henry Community College (P&HCC) is thrilled to announce that it will host the NJCAA Region 10 D3 Softball Tournament on Friday and Saturday, May 2-3, 2025. This event will showcase high-level competition as teams vie for the championship—and fans can cheer on the 2024 NJCAA Softball National Champions, Patrick & Henry Community College Softball, as they aim for another incredible postseason run!

"We are thrilled to host the D3 Softball Tournament this weekend at Patrick & Henry Community College," said Brian Henderson, Athletic Director. "It's an exciting opportunity to showcase not only outstanding competition, but also the spirit of community and sportsmanship that defines P&H Athletics. We look forward to welcoming teams, families, and fans to our campus for a great weekend of softball."

Event Details:

• Dates: Friday, May 2, and Saturday, May 3

• Location: Patrick & Henry Community College

• Admission: $5.00 per person/per day (ages 13 and up)

  • Children ages 12 and under are free

Concessions:
Traditional concessions will not be available. However, Palumbo's Food Truck will be on-site, offering a variety of brick-oven pizza options, flavored lemonades, and other delicious menu items. 

Tournament Schedule:

Day 1 – Friday, May 2

• Game 1 (11:00am): Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute (#2) vs. Surry Community College (#3)

• Game 2 (1:30pm): Surry Community College (#3) vs. Patrick & Henry Community College (#1)

• Game 3 (4:00pm): Patrick & Henry Community College (#1) vs. Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute (#2)

Day 2 – Saturday, May 3 (Day 2 schedule will depend on Day 1 results)

• Game 4 (12:00pm): Championship

• Game 5 (If Necessary Game at 2:30pm): If 1-1 team wins the championship game  (If all three teams are 1-1 after the first day then regular-season finish will be used)

Semifinal Game at 12:00pm: #2 Caldwell vs. #3 Surry

Championship Game at 2:30pm: #1 Patrick & Henry vs. Winner Semifinal Game

The tournament winner is the Region 10 Champion and will travel to the winner of Region 12 (OH/IL/MI) for the Appalachian District Championship on May 9-11, 2025.  The winner of the district will earn a bid to the DIII National Tournament at the Frost Stadium & Warner Park in Chattanooga, Tennessee on May 22-25, 2025.
