Justin Case Named New Wrestling Coach

MARTINSVILLE, VA – Justin Case has been named P&HCC's new Head Wrestling Coach, effective immediately. Case takes the helm following the departure of Coach Chad Lange, who stepped down last week.

Case, who has served as the Associate Head Coach for P&HCC Wrestling, brings a wealth of experience and a deep connection to the sport. A native of Martinsville, VA, Case was a standout high school wrestler, earning two North Carolina state placements and serving as team captain during back-to-back team state championships. He also earned All-American honors at both the Super 32 (4th place) and Cliff Keen (6th place) tournaments.

After high school, Case joined the United States Marine Corps and wrestled internationally for two years as a member of the All-Marine Wrestling Team. Following his service, he attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG), where he wrestled at the Division I level and earned a degree in Sports Medicine with a minor in Coaching.

Case has since built an impressive coaching résumé, working at various levels of wrestling while also contributing to the fitness industry. His coaching philosophy emphasizes discipline, preparation, and mental toughness—qualities he developed both on the mat and during his time in the Marines.

In addition to leading the men's wrestling program, Case will launch the women's wrestling program at P&HCC beginning in Fall 2025. He is actively recruiting for both the men's and women's programs, with the goal of building a competitive foundation for both teams.

"We are thrilled to have Coach Case leading our wrestling program," said Brian Henderson, P&HCC Assistant Vice President for Student Engagement and Athletic Director. "Justin's passion for the sport, leadership skills, and ability to develop student-athletes on and off the mat make him the perfect fit to take our program to the next level. The addition of women's wrestling is an exciting step forward for P&HCC Athletics, and Justin's experience and vision will be key to its success."

"I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to lead the P&HCC wrestling program," said Case. "I'm excited to continue building on the strong foundation Coach Lange established and helping our student-athletes achieve success both in competition and in life. I'm especially excited about starting the women's program—it's a tremendous opportunity to grow the sport and develop a new generation of champions."
