Softball Earns #1 Ranking in First NJCAA DIII Poll of the Season

MARTINSVILLE, VA – The first NJCAA Division III Softball Poll of the 2024-2025 season has been released, and Patrick & Henry Community College (P&HCC) Softball is making a strong statement, claiming the #1 spot. With an impressive 20-14 record, the Patriots have earned national recognition for their excellent start to the season.

Region 10 is well-represented in the rankings, with P&HCC securing the #1 ranking, followed by the #3-ranked Caldwell Cobras. Additionally, Surry Community College has made an appearance in the poll as receiving votes, further showcasing the strength of Region 10 softball.

P&HCC has been playing some of its best softball recently, including an exciting 5-2 run at the Fast Pitch Dreams Spring Classic in Myrtle Beach, SC, where the team showcased their depth and talent. Their recent victories include dominant wins over Suffolk Community College (NY) and Hagerstown Community College, solidifying their position at the top of the rankings.

"We are incredibly proud of our team's performance and the recognition in the rankings," said Robbi Campbell, Head Coach of P&HCC Softball. "This is just the beginning for us, and we're focused on continuing to improve and perform at a high level. We have a great group of players, and it's exciting to see their hard work paying off."

P&HCC Softball is set to continue their season in Myrtle Beach, SC, on Thursday, March 20, when they play against Mohawk Valley Community College and Herkimer Community College
