Leah Amico Announced as Keynote Speaker for Baseball's Annual First Pitch Dinner

MARTINSVILLE, VA – Patrick & Henry Baseball is thrilled to announce Leah Amico, three-time Olympic gold medalist, National Softball Hall of Fame inductee, and renowned professional speaker, as the keynote speaker for this year's First Pitch Dinner. The event will take place on Saturday, January 25th at 6:00 PM at the Patrick & Henry Community College MET 1 location.

The First Pitch Dinner is the highly anticipated season kickoff event for Patrick & Henry Baseball, bringing together sports fans, business leaders, and community members for an evening of celebration, inspiration, and networking. This year, guests will be motivated by Leah Amico's powerful message on leadership, perseverance, and the mindset needed to succeed in any field.

Leah Amico is one of the most accomplished athletes in the history of women's sports. As a three-time Olympic gold medalist with USA Softball, a two-time World Champion, and a National Softball Hall of Fame inductee in 2009, Leah has dedicated her life to excellence on and off the field. In addition to her Olympic achievements, Leah was a three-time national champion at The University of Arizona, where she was named a three-time First Team All-American and a three-time First Team Academic All-American, excelling both in athletics and academics.

A legendary clutch hitter, Leah still holds the record for the highest batting average in the Women's College World Series—a testament to her competitive edge and performance under pressure. Today, as a college softball analyst for ESPN and Westwood One Sports, Leah continues to share her love and knowledge of the game with fans across the globe.

In addition to her athletic success, Leah Amico is a sought-after professional speaker with over 20 years of experience. Her engaging and motivational talks empower individuals to develop the strong mindset and discipline necessary for success. Leah teaches her audiences the core principles she has applied throughout her career, helping them unlock their potential, thrive in high-pressure situations, and find a balance between work and personal life. Her lessons resonate far beyond the sports world, providing valuable insights applicable to any career or personal journey.

"We are incredibly excited to welcome Leah Amico as our keynote speaker for the First Pitch Dinner," said Brandon Nania, Head Baseball Coach at Patrick & Henry Community College.
