P&HCC Men's Basketball Climbs to No. 15 In NJCAA Rankings

Following a victory over third-ranked Sandhills Community College, the Patrick & Henry Community College men's basketball team has climbed to a No. 15 ranking in the latest NJCAA DIII polls. The Patriots (4-2) upset Sandhills CC 79-77 on November 15 in the squad's first home contest of the season.

P&HCC is led by sophomore Jaylen Faber, who's averaging a team-high 20 points per game and is shooting an impressive 55% from three-point range. In the victory over Sandhills CC, Faber finished with 16 points and led the Patriots with six rebounds.

As a team, P&HCC is shooting 51.3% through six games - the top percentage in Region 10, Division 3. The Pats are averaging 78.2 points per game, and rank second in team rebounds with 26.

The Patriots returned to action on the road Monday night, knocking off Shaw University (JV) 71-68. P&HCC will next travel to Virginia Union University (JV) on Wednesday, before hosting Mountain Gateway CC inside Stone Hall on Monday, December 4.
