For the second match of the season, the Patrick & Henry Community College golf team traveled to Pinehurst, North Carolina. The match, which took place at the Longleaf Golf and Family Club, was hosted by Sandhills Community College.

Contending against windy conditions, the Patriots finished Round One with a team total of 380. On day two, the score dipped to a team total of 386. For both days, the team had a combined score of 766.

"We drove the ball and we really showed up with grit and determination," says P&HCC's coach James Draper. "The score wasn't what we hoped, but we had a lot of personal wins –some strong moments for each player."

The team was led by Cameron Robertson (83-91= 174). Some highlights from team performance include Kolby Brown's eleven-shot improvement between the two days, Lincoln Rose's superb ball striking, and Carter Grandinetti hitting his lowest round to date.

Sandhills Community College won the match with a two-day total score of 581 (287: Day One. 294: Day Two). Luke Basil of Sandhills took top honors with a 67-75= 142 winning in a playoff.
