Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)
The Patrick & Henry Community College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is a student-led organization within the P&HCC Athletic Department made up of intercollegiate student-athletes. SAAC provides student-athletes with opportunities to develop leadership skills, become more engaged on campus, serve the Martinsville-Henry County community, and help enhance the overall student-athlete experience.
Through discussions facilitated by college advisors, SAAC members explore topics including leadership, campus engagement, community involvement, and the student-athlete experience. Most importantly, SAAC provides a platform for student-athletes to share their perspectives, communicate needs and concerns, and have a voice within the Athletic Department and across campus.
Each athletic team is expected to nominate at least two student-athletes to participate in SAAC. Larger teams may be asked to nominate additional representatives. There is no maximum number of participants per team, and all interested student-athletes are encouraged to take advantage of this leadership opportunity.
The goal of SAAC is to represent and advocate for P&HCC student-athletes as they pursue excellence in the classroom, in competition, and throughout the community. SAAC is committed to helping create a positive and successful experience for every Patriot student-athlete while providing opportunities to lead, serve, connect, and make their voices heard.
