Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)

The Patrick & Henry Community College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, or SAAC, is a student organization within the Athletic Department that is solely made up of intercollegiate student-athletes. College advisors will facilitate discussions within the topics of leadership, campus engagement, community involvement, and student experience. SAAC also provides a space to generate a student-athlete voice on needs or concerns throughout campus.

Each athletic team is expected to nominate at least 2 student-athletes, with some of the larger teams (baseball, men’s soccer) required to nominate four and softball to nominate three. There is no maximum number of student-athletes per team, we want as many students as possible if they are interested in participating in this student leadership opportunity.

SAAC's goal is to be a voice for P&H student-athletes while they strive to achieve greatness in the classroom, playing fields/courts and throughout the community here in Martinsville-Henry County. The SAAC Program wants all student-athletes experience at Patrick & Henry Community College to be successful in their pursuits and find SAAC to be a chance to have their voice heard on our campus to better our student-athlete experience.
