P&H Softball Extends Winning Streak to 12, Returns to Action Sunday

Following a clean sweep of the Fastpitch Dreams Tournament in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina earlier this week, the Patrick & Henry Community College softball squad pushed it's winning streak to 12 consecutive games.

The Lady Pats (15-5, 6-0) knocked off Rowan College of South Jersey-Cumberland 8-0 and WVU Potomac State College 6-4 in comeback fashion on Monday before finishing off Sussex County CC 9-1 and Joliet Junior College 5-3 on Tuesday afternoon.

Since P&HCC's winning streak began with a 10-2 victory over Southeastern Community College-Whiteville on February 25, the Lady Pats have outscored opponents 110-28. They have three shutouts in that span, and have only allowed three or more runs in four games.

Offensively, P&H is led by catcher Elizabeth Parrish (Zebulon, NC) who's hitting .458 and has tallied a team-high 28 RBI, while infielder Jaden Hurdle (Rougemont, NC) leads the squad in home runs with nine and has driven home 22 runs.

On the mound, right-hander Madison Lemons (Stokesdale, NC) is a perfect 4-0 with an impressive 1.68 ERA and has struck out 35 hitters in 25 innings pitched.

Patrick & Henry returns to action on Sunday, March 20 in a doubleheader at Richard Bland College beginning at 1 p.m.
